Beberapa hal yang perlu diketahui sebelumnya tentang VMware server :

• VMware has declared VMware Server End Of Availability on January 2010 with the actual support ending on June 30^th, 2011. More details can be read here. Furthermore, VMware Server is not officially supported on Ubuntu releases greater than 8.04.
• The VMware Server console plug-in won’t work on Firefox versions older than 3.6 (I have found no viable solution for this problem).
